Ceetex Trampoline used for Fiat Grande Punto TV Advertisment >>
A Grande Punto bouncing on a trampoline is the highlight of a stunning
new TV advert from Fiat Group Automobiles UK.
Shot at London’s Alexandra Palace, the £500,000 film shows
a team of trampolinists – including former Great Britain team
Olympian Kirsten Lawton – springing up towards the camera carrying
message boards describing the Grande Punto.
And for a finale to the commercial, a full-size Grande Punto also
bounces on to the trampoline, and performs rolls and pirouettes
before coming to rest. Exactly how the film crew were able to capture
this amazing stunt remains a secret, but John Quarrey, director
of London-based Krow Communications, which dreamed up the advertisement,
did reveal that the car was dropped from 20 metres on to the trampoline.
The scene perfectly captures the new Series 2 Grande Punto’s
latest ‘Engineered To Entertain’ banner
“If a car that can bounce off a trampoline isn’t both
well made and entertaining, nothing is!” says John Quarrey.
“We wanted a new, challenging advert for Grande Punto showing
that the car is brilliantly made but also great fun.
“We also wanted to include important information about the
features and finance, so people see there is substance and incentive
behind the seductive shape.”
It took the cast one and a half days to rehearse and get the choreography
right before filming started. The advert was directed by Michael
Gracey alongside visual effects artist Pete Commins”
